What is a triple canopy?
How do you train for that?
I'm 13 and I'm in the 11's
lol a 5 minute mile is competitive.
A 5 minute mile is competitive for runners, he’s talking about military men who could deadlift 2-3 times more than a competitive runner, bench 4-5 times more probably too
We had to run a mile and a half and my time was usually high 8 low 9 min
I would hope special forces is finishing around 11-12 lol middle schoolers average is 14…
Run time is a very small portion of what is required and pretty insignificant after the first few days
2 mile my guy
Its 2 miles not 1 dude
@@bevause a good 1 mile run time for a middle schooler is under 7 minutes my guy.
@@jacobthomas1344 I know…a good 1 miles run time for a middle schooler is under 7 minutes.
Woah ... I'll work harder to get that 11 min 2-mile. Anything less than the best isn't cool to settle on.
Committed to the process regardless of outcome is something I'll remember. Thank you sir🇺🇸
Been following your SFAS prep guide. Loving it. I was wondering what kind of running shoes you recommend, or what is allowed (if you do any running with shoes) during the course.
American terrorist deployed to "fight" the talliban who got billions in support years earlier. USA a terror state.
Facts
The SF so jacked up because 100% of his mind is spent focusing on the mission. There's no room for all that meaningless busy work the brass has you do to look squared away. 👍
The real imposters belong to the Israeli Defence Forces terrorists.
What would you suggest if I want to go to college at this time aswell
He said this is how he would do. Not generally. Sheesh all these pogs and civies on here want to post their own path, yet GBs pass rate remains what it is. Smh
I agree 💯
Whats a zone run?

NATO = No Action Talk Only 😝😝😝😝😝😝😝
Do you think doing full body compound lifts 2-3 days a week and running the other days would be beneficial in comparison to splits? Or do you think each muscle group once a week is enough volume?
Both work, but I prefer splits only for the reason that you can space out leg days to allow for more recovery and hit the speed sessions with fresh legs instead of being sore from hitting legs the day prior
@@InfiniteGrit that makes perfect sense. Thank you, and thank you for the awesome program!
Sigint marine going to selection when im eligible (MARSOC makes you wait till you are able to reenlist to go to selection)
Going next year. Any tips?
Thank you. This is very helpful man. I’m 33/34 considering guard sf primarily because I have a career in banking and after training pipeline q course all that, I would like to go back to my civilian job but still have the opportunity to pick up deployments. As I understand, the training pipeline is roughly 2 years and then another 3 years in reserves with one weekend a month, but I could be wrong. Could you maybe do a video on service term for SF and maybe other things? Or point in right direction. Thanks bro !!
Also, how competitive is guard sf vs 18x or maybe other ways to become a green beret. As I’m sure it’s an attractive option for folks that have family career all that
Hey Jon how can I get this pdf/ what is your app Called for the meal tracking?
Here’s the link for the pdf man: Infinitegrit.us/militaryfitness The app is exclusively for our one on one clients so it’s all custom to the individual. If you’d like to jump on a call and talk about how that works you can book one using this link: calendly.com/infinitegritcoaching/coaching-call
They are difficult when meps and a old medical record that should be lost stands in the way. Thx Genesis
Just carry your ruck everywhere you go from wake up to bedtime
I'm grateful to have a company from 20th in my state..currently getting back into shape to go to the unit's SFAS (pre-selection) All the teams open SFAS to currently serving, vets, non-prior if anyone's interested. Just google "guardsf" to find what states have teams or support bn.
I learned this the hard way. Was climbing up a steep muddy slope carrying a buddy as a medivac. Slipped and fell on the mud and my barrel went right into the mud and the butt went right into my hip. My full weight with gear plus my buddy’s. It was excruciating. The other guys tried carrying him but struggled as we were days into a week long exercise. Dug deep and picked the guy back up again and ran/hobbled the last 100m. First and only time my sergeant praised me and used it as an example. Was out for a week or two after cause of the dirtiest bruise on my hip. 😂
I genuinely don't understand. You are on a 20 mile ruk with your team. What is there to solve? Motivation?
More applicable to team week-style events, operations, patrolling etc.
Meanwhile your girlfriend goes bezerk cause she haven't eat for 4 hours

They aren’t that great. Honestly they are egotistical and cause more problems that help a situation.
That's what keeps me going, knowing that it is right around the corner! Also, there is always a solution! Loved the video brother!!!
My man! Appreciate you and looking forward to seeing you crush it!
Nice video Jon, I’m definitely seeing growth and progress. Overall felling good and staying consistent.
Appreciate you man! Pumped you’re seeing progress. Let’s keep it going!
If you wrote a book, I’d buy it and read. You seem very relatable to me that you’re not a big monster type of guy who was always the best and got into SF. I may have hope… I can relate to what you’re saying pre SF for sure. I’ve always wondered what guys are like before they are successful in SF and have the proof that they are good enough to be SF.
I appreciate you man! We always have hope 🫡
I said it before many of these exercises do nothing and accomplishes nothing
What are you talking about?
Ye
I am unable to download it
Thank you sir
Thank you for the great advice
I would be interested in the land navigation training. Where do you get topographical maps?
My man! I get them from MyTopo which is a site that has existing and allows you to build custom maps
@@InfiniteGritthanks
Love it. Thanks for the content man!
Appreciate the support!
You got Infinite Grits? I love grits 😋
😂😂
On Monday with the repeats, do I take rests with every repeat or do I take no breaks, and how many mins for each break?
Take rests in between and it should be 1:1, meaning you rest for an equal amount of time it takes you to run each interval
@@InfiniteGrit is it really necessary, to do a 1:1? I wanna run for 45 mins take like a 5 min break then do it again without having to do a 45 min break. I also do not have a lot of time to be doing 3 45 min breaks
So much value in a short amount of time. Perfect
Hey Jon good video! I was gonna ask your opinion i have been running for 6-7 years now, and last year i decided i was gonna go full blow into easy zone 2 training and mostly treadmill training summer bec i been stuck on same half marathon since nov 2021 1 hour 44 min, and stuck on same full marathon time since 2019. I did zone 2 training treadmill atleast 5 days week including strength training squats and bench press 5 sets 5. And for most part it seem to help, but then came october 2023 my half marathon and i was on pace to beat 1 44 but race day it ended up being 72 degrees and 100 percent humidity.......and i ended up running slower than my half in october of 2022. I ended up doing 1 49....i live in myrtle beach SC and weather is unpredictable here and as bigger runner 5,9 190 i struggle in humid conditions. But what makes it crazy is I ran my fastest half and time when i was running only 3 times week, in 2021 and 2022. When i ran mostly 12-15 milers in zone 3-4 in my training. Example the summer of 2022 i was running my long runs zone 3-4 and getting in quality miles bec i was only running 3 times week with rest days. I feel like my pace was better only running 3-4 times week vs 5-6. Now when i try run 5-6 days week i feel burned out get shin splitz and my pace is slower. Do you think i need to go back only running 3-4 times week with zone 3-4 longruns and more quality miles? and strength training? also do u think lifts like bench press 5x5 and squats 5x5 as runner can slow u down in the half marathon and full? I was way faster in my runs even in summer in 2022 when i was running 3 times week. But i always hear its better run 5-6 times week zone 2. But honestly feel like ever since i have stopped zone 3-4 running it has hurt my ability to run at higher heart rate for long runs in heat and weather. Any tips on how i can blast past my plateau of 1 44? should i try start doing my long runs in summer mornings outside at 830-850 paces more often get use lactic buildup?
Just cause a person is 6,3 and jacked doesn’t make them a tough person. I’ve know people who were just like that and they were weak sauce.
I know for a fact I can do the physical stuff. But I'm not to bright with school work. But if it was just go out run do push ups or march for hours and hours. I'd own that shit probably be first in class. Like not talking shit just stating facts.
Girls become green berets, everyone knows it is low hanging fruit.
Hi Jon. My army fitness test was meant to be Friday but has moved to Sunday. I haven’t ran in a couple days to recover for the test. Should I just do a 60min light easy run on Friday which is two days out from the test? What would you do? I feel like not training for 5 days before the test is too much. Thanks again man.
Hey brother. Sorry for the late reply, I was actually running an ultra this weekend and just got back to AZ. How did the test go??
@@InfiniteGrit no worries. Passed easily with more than a minute left to go on the run and easily got 20 push-ups/ sit-ups. Wow what distance were you running? Ultras are insane man. Fair play to you.
@@frankm2911 right on man glad you passed! I did 31 miles through Zion. It was a Ragnar Relay. Pretty cool experience!
I did banded toe lifts before Norwegian Ruckmarch. Everything else, including my Achilles tendon were cramping, but my shins were a-okay.
Aside from the pain how was it?! I’ve heard great things about it
It was pretty rough, I only had two weeks to get ready for it. Bought new heat-forming insoles and good socks for it (Fox River gang), and brought plenty of snacks. Terrain was unfavorable (did it through the Flint Hills), alternated between drop-hips big stride and jogging, and finished with a little over five minutes to spare. 0/10, I'll probably do another one for Silver Award.
